Description
A bed adhesive is one thin film between the first layer and the plate. PrintStick Standard is that film for the materials most machines run every day: PLA, PET-G, CF-PETG and TPU, on beds below 80 °C. One pass of the 30 mm felt head covers a desktop plate, and a 50 ml applicator does it more than fifty times — about ₹24 a print, against a failed build that costs more than that in filament alone.
It grips hot and releases cold. The film bonds to the first layer while the plate is at temperature, then lets go on its own as the bed cools, so the part lifts off by hand instead of being prised up with a scraper. A damp cloth takes the film off the plate — no isopropyl bath, no scratches in the sheet — and nothing bakes onto the underside of the print.
It works on glass, smooth and textured PEI, BuildTak and magnetic spring-steel flex sheets, heated or not. On PEI it does a second job: PET-G bonds to bare PEI hard enough to pull chips out of the sheet, and the film sits between the two as a release layer.
Printing ABS, ASA, PC, PC-ABS, PP or Nylon? Those shrink hard as they cool and want PrintStick Plus, which is formulated for beds at 80 °C and above. When this bottle runs out the 100 ml refill fills the applicator twice, and the felt tip is a replaceable insert.
The PrintStick bed adhesive page carries the full table: the formula, bed temperature and plate for each of the eleven materials Fracktal publishes settings for.
