Heat, Managed End to End

High-performance polymers only print well when every part of the machine is hot enough. Volterra heats the whole path: an integrated filament pre-heater dries and warms the feedstock, a 90°C actively-heated chamber holds temperature through the build, and a 150°C plate locks the first layer down.

The result is parts that don’t warp, delaminate or crack — repeatable, reliable and flawless, run after run.

An all-metal hotend reaches 450°C — the window where high-performance polymers like PC, PA and PEKK-class materials actually flow and bond.
90°C Heated Build Chamber
An actively heated, enclosed chamber holds temperature through long prints, eliminating the warping and layer separation that kill big engineering parts.
150°C Build Plate
A 150°C plate gives an aggressive first-layer bond for the most demanding materials, then releases cleanly once cool.
Integrated Material Pre-Heater
Filament is dried and pre-warmed before it ever reaches the nozzle — critical for hygroscopic engineering polymers and consistent extrusion.
IMEX Retracting Nozzle System
Two nozzles with the IMEX retracting system: the idle nozzle lifts clear so dual-material and soluble-support prints stay clean.

Carbon-Fibre Ready

Volterra ships ready for carbon-fibre and glass-filled composites. Hardened-steel nozzles shrug off abrasive fillers, and the high-temperature path lets those materials reach full strength.

The payoff is real end-use parts — stiff, dimensionally stable jigs, fixtures and functional components straight off the machine.

Volterra’s IMEX retracting nozzle system prints water-soluble supports alongside your part, then washes them away — so you can build geometries that are impossible to support, and impossible to print, any other way.
